The famed expression ‘in the doghouse’ is about to take on a whole new meaning as the world’s first ‘Pet Pad of the Year’ competition is officially launched by MORE TH>N. From decadent doggie digs and master bedrooms for moggies, the search is on to find the UK’s most eccentric and luxurious canine and cat abodes.
To highlight just how much a nation of pet-lovers the Brits are and to celebrate the strong bonds owners have with their pets, MORE TH>N is calling for cat and dog owners from across the country to nominate their pampered pets’ homes online by going to www.petpadoftheyear.com. As well as taking all the plaudits that will come from being crowned the inaugural ‘Pet Pad of the Year 2012’, the winner and their pet will also receive a £1,000 cash prize.
John Ellenger, Head of Pet at MORE TH>N, said: “The UK is a nation of dog and cat lovers and many owners go to great lengths to ensure that their pets have a comfortable home to relax and sleep in. We want to celebrate those owners and their pets and we look forward to seeing the entries and naming the winner.”
To help judge the competition, celebrity judges including Marc Abrahams and TV personality and pet-lover Dawn O’Porter will be viewing all the entries and selecting the pet whose home will be named ‘Pet Pad of the Year’.
To enter the competition, simply go to www.petpadoftheyear.com and enter your name, the name of your pet and upload a photo of their pad. The competition will run until 21 January 2013 and the winner will be announced in the week of 4 February 2013.
