Months on from the airing of Pedigree Dogs Exposed and the fall out is still, well, falling out.
Yesterday the British Veterinary Association announced that ‘too little has been done’ on the issue of pedigree dog health and today the leading veterinary charity the PDSA followed the lead of the RSPCA, the Dogs Trust, the National Dog Warden Association, Pedigree and Hills in withdrawing from Crufts.
The BBC, however, has remained silent despite telling us their advisory panel would be ‘quickly’ providing their feedback on whether the corporation would continue to broadcast Crufts dog show:
“The panel will be asked to give the BBC their advice quickly to enable the BBC to discuss the issues with The Kennel Club before planning begins for coverage of Crufts 2009“
