The Animal Charities Fair was started 37 years ago, and is still successful to this day. The fair, which was previously held in Chelsea, takes place once a year at the Kensington Town Hall, a lovely warm and spacious venue. It is one of the largest animal welfare fairs in the country, and is a place where like minded people can get together, swap information and ideas, support their favourite charities/organisations and also do a bit of Christmas shopping.

The aim of the stall holders is to raise awareness, and also raise much needed funds for animals in the UK and around the World. This year the fair has changed hands and there have been many improvements made so that it can continue to get bigger and better and provide a great day out for all the family for many years to come.

We are delighted to have Pen Farthing opening the fair this year. Pen and the Nowzad Dogs are doing such amazing work helping the animals of Afghanistan against all the odds.

Pen will be bringing Patch the Dog along to the fair, you will be able to meet them both and find out more about how Patch, and a few other lucky dogs like him, were saved and brought all the way to the UK. You will also be able to get your hands the Nowzad Dogs new book ‘No Place Like Home’. (
