Dog Leaps in Front of Bus to Save Blind Owner

A hero dog named Figo lept in front of his owner Audrey Stone to protect her from the mini-bus approaching them. The driver claims to have not seen the pair crossing the road but luckily Figo (real name Bigo) saw him and left his fur stuck to the front driver’s side wheel as a result.

The eight year old Golden Retriever service dog remained with his owner until help arrived and both are recovering from their injuries.

News website, lohud.com, is reporting that Figo’s front leg is in a splint and will remain at the veterinary hospital until his owner, who also underwent surgery, is able to take him home.

Figo’s owner says he deserves a medal, and who could disagree?
