Joint care supplement advice please

Submitted by admin on June 21, 2009 – 1:30 am2 Comments
Hi folks,

Can anyone recommend some decent quality (IE NOT "Pedigree Joint Care") supplements for Pepa, my Rottie, who’s 3 in Sept and last time she was weighed (March/April when she had her boosters) tipped the scales at 45.8Kg.

Many thanks

I use this: 1 tablespoon fresh flaxseed oil blended well (hand blender) with 2 tablespoons of cottage cheese (you should see no oil)….

Omega3 fatty acids get into the blood stream right away. If you want to see how it is used for cancer treatment, go to http://www.budwigprotocol.com I eat this stufff once a day prophylactically (sp?) for my dog and myself.

I have had great results using glucosamine sulphate tablets on my 45kg Mastiff cross who has arthritis in her back legs. I have recommended it to many other dog owners and the results have been great for them as well. I get mine from Simply Supplements who do ione for dogs but apparently human ones are ok too. Whether they work as a preventative measure I cannot say but the results have been remarkable with none of the side effects of NSAID's . Pepa would need to take 1000mg per day at her weight .
