Each year we seem to hear of more dog cruelty cases, puppy farms, more dog abandonments, more cases of neglect and we still maintain canine legislation which is ineffective, cruel and downright Draconian. Do we really have just cause to call ourselves a nation of animal lovers whilst this goes on? And, more to the point, what can we do to make things better?
